Leicester City’s January transfer plans are in full swing and the Foxes have seemingly set their eyes on one position.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have struggled defensively and conceded the joint-highest amount of goals (42) in the Premier League this season.
A centre-back is Leicester’s priority going into the January transfer window and with the likes of Wout Faes struggling, new faces are needed.
One man the Foxes are linked with is Adilson Malanda, who is currently playing for MLS outfit Charlotte FC.
With Malanda relatively unknown outside of the USA, Leicester City News has got everything you need to know about the latest transfer link.

Adilson Malanda age/birthplace

Adilson Malanda position
Malanda is a centre-back by trade and has played there throughout his entire career, playing in that position for three different clubs.
Adilson Malanda style of play
Malanda is described as a quiet leader who is more of a modern-day style of defender by favouring a possession-based style of football.
The centre-back likes to play a long, diagonal ball too, which is similar to the way current Leicester star Jannik Vestergaard operates.
His height means he is strong in the air too and although shy away from the pitch, likes to command and lead by example on it.

Adilson Malanda career
Born 75 miles away from Paris in the northwestern town of Rouen, Malanda left his family home at the age of 13 to pursue a career in football.
He joined Nimes Olympique where he came through the academy ranks before joining Rodez two years after they were promoted to Ligue 2 for the first time in 26 years.
It was there that Malanda made a name for himself and after 35 appearances was on the radar of clubs and had been scouted by Charlotte FC before eventually making the move to America in 2022.
The centre-back immediately broke into the first team and has been a mainstay ever since.
