The end of the year is almost here and that means the start of the January transfer window is just around the corner for Leicester City and everyone else.

It was a busy year for the Foxes, with everyone joining this calendar year arriving in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Nine players in total made the move and all have had varying degrees of success at the King Power Stadium.

With that, here is how Leicester City News have ranked every signing from 2024.

Abdul Fatawu (£14m) – 7/10

Abdul Fatawu joined permanently in the summer of 2024 after spending the 2023/24 campaign on loan at the Foxes.

Fatawu is a fan favourite and after terrorising Championship defences, everyone was looking forward to seeing how he would fare in the top flight.

After being forced to settle for a place on the bench the 19-year-old announced himself on the big stage when fans lauded Fatawu for his game-changing display at Southampton.

Unfortunately, Fatawu picked up a long-term injury while on international duty in November and is out until the end of the season but he’s still had a brilliant year.

Michael Golding (£4m) – 3/10

It’s hard to truly assess Michael Golding, purely on the fact that the youngster is yet to play for the first team.

Signed from Chelsea, Golding has been a regular for Leicester’s younger sides and is tipped to have a bright future but for the Foxes, £4m represented a large outlay for a player so young.

There will be hope that he can break into the first team in the future but, for now, the jury is still out.

Oliver Skipp (£19.6m) – 5/10

There was concern over the transfer fee Leicester paid for Oliver Skipp and it seems like he still has more to do to prove himself.

At times, Skipp has brought a calm and composed element to the midfield when in possession. Off the ball however, the former Tottenham Hotspur star is known for a rash challenge and has found himself in the book on multiple occasions.

He’s yet to have a run in the first team but there is still plenty of time to turn it around.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid (free transfer) – 5/10

If this was written in November, there is every chance this would’ve seen Bobby De Cordova-Reid earn the lowest score, but, he’s redeemed himself.

A free signing is relatively low-risk but De Cordova-Reid looked completely out of his depth until the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy changed that.

His experience is vital at seeing games out and the utility man is a relentlessly hard worker which is what you need when you’re towards the lower regions of the table.

Jordan Ayew (£5m) – 6/10

Jordan Ayew has earned the nickname ‘super sub’ at Leicester and it’s clear to see why.

Late goals against Southampton and Ipswich Town have helped the Foxes earn four points this season and although he isn’t the most glamorous of signings, has made a bigger impact than most would’ve thought.

His ability to win free kicks across the pitch shouldn’t go unnoticed, similarly with his hold-up play. A starting role shouldn’t be a regular occurrence, but he’s a great option to have for a relatively low fee.

Caleb Okoli (£12.5m) – 5/10

Consistently inconsistent is the best way to describe Caleb Okoli’s time in the East Midlands so far.

Okoli has been in-and-out of the first team and at times has looked like he would flourish at the top level whereas on other occasions has looked out his depth.

Playing in the Premier League for the first time at 23 is understandably a culture shock and he still needs time to fully adapt. He’s just yet to really shine.

Facundo Buonanotte (on loan) – 8/10

Facundo Buonanotte has been Leicester’s best player this season.

The young Argentine has received call-ups to the senior national team as a reward for his effort.

Foxes fans want to sign him permanently but Brighton have confirmed that Buonanotte is not for sale.

He’s been a little quieter since Van Nistelrooy arrived but Leicester would be far worse off without him.

Bilal El Khannouss (£17m) – 7/10

With each week that goes by, Bilal El Khannouss gets better and better.

Van Nistelrooy singled out El Khannouss after his first game in charge and the young Moroccan has formed an important part of his plans.

He’s an exciting talent that is bound to carry on into 2025.

Odsonne Edouard (on loan) – 2/10

The undeniable flop of 2024.

It’s hard to judge Odsonne Edouard’s performance on the pure basis that he hasn’t played.

There is talk of Edouard being sent back to Crystal Palace and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. It’s a move that hasn’t worked out for anyone.
