Leicester City want a central defender and believe they have found the perfect candidate to join in January.

Lilian Brassier has been linked with the Foxes, with the French defender currently on loan at Marseille from Ligue 1 outfit Brest.

Brassier has played 10 times for the side currently challenging Paris Saint-Germain in the French top flight and would know doubt be a great addition to Ruud van Nistelrooy’s defensive options.

Lilian Brassier was born on 2 November 1999, making him 25 at the time of writing.

He was born in Argenteuil, France and is of Togolese descent but has represented France at youth level.

Brassier began his career Rennes, signing his first professional contract with the club in 2019 before being immediately loaned out lower league outfit Valenciennes FC.

He never made a senior competitive appearance for his parent club and would eventually move to Brest, where he would make his name.

His impressive performances saw him feature over 100 times for the French club before he earned himself a move to Marseille on loan with an option to buy.
