Leicester City fell to defeat once again as they were comfortably beaten by Newcastle United on Monday night.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men were dead and buried within the first 10 minutes courtesy of a Jacob Murphy brace before former Foxes star Harvey Barnes made sure of the win 35 minutes in.
The 3-0 loss also means that Leicester have set a terrible EFL record by losing eight home games in a row without scoring.
In an evening of little to sing about, the debut of Jeremy Monga is something that brought some smiles to the faces of Leicester fans.

Jeremy Monga makes historic Leicester City debut
After calls from Leicester fans to play Monga, Van Nistelrooy finally gave him his debut.
By entering the pitch, Monga became the only player other than Ethan Nwaneri to make his Premier League debut before he turned 16.
And although he came on in difficult circumstances, he gave a good account of himself.
@EvanDraycott wrote: “Only shining light was Monga tonight. Amazing story and fearless when he came on, the complete opposite to everything else about the club.”
@Birdiex94x added: “Monga the only positive from the last like 4 months.”
@ANSisHere stated: “Fifteen-year-old Jeremy Monga shows more enthusiasm than the entire Leicester City team tonight.”
@geordie242526, a Newcastle fan added: “Probably the only one of your players who looked bothered… vardy as well maybes.. the rest looked beaten and already planning moves away.”
@JasonBourne1986 said: “Go on, lad. It’s a shame it’s in these circumstances but good luck to Jeremy Monga.”
Jeremy Monga deserves to stay in the first team
Although his time on the pitch was brief, Monga did more than enough to prove that he has a role to play in the first team.
With seven games of the season remaining and a 15-point deficit to catch up to, Championship football awaits the Foxes.
Given that survival is all but out of reach, there is nothing to lose in giving the 15-year-old star a run in the side.
With European clubs eyeing up Monga, letting the winger realise he does have a role to play in the team going forward may convince him to stay a little while longer.
