Leicester City’s battle to avoid the drop won’t get any easier this weekend when they make the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
The Foxes were somehow even worse against West Ham United last week but, having had over a week to learn from their defeat, will be far fresher then their opponents, who will be in European action three days before the game.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is under huge pressure from Leicester fans and anything other than a win will be considered catastrophic as the Blues still remain five points off 17th placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 17 | 27 | 6 | 4 | 17 | 37 | 56 | -19 | 22 | |
| 18 | 27 | 3 | 8 | 16 | 26 | 57 | -31 | 17 | |
| 19 | 27 | 4 | 5 | 18 | 25 | 61 | -36 | 17 | |

There will be plenty of familiar faces in the opposition dugout and squad given that Enzo Maresca is the manager of Chelsea and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is also part of the squad.
Dewsbury-Hall has confirmed that he won’t celebrate if he scores against Leicester but even if he does, fans won’t be able to see the game live on TV.

Why isn’t Chelsea vs Leicester on TV?
Van Nistelrooy’s men face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 9 March, kicking off at 2:00PM GMT.
In normal circumstances, this would mean the game would be live on TV, however, this time around it won’t be.
Due to Chelsea’s Europa Conference League commitments on Thursday, the game has been rescheduled to allow them enough time to recover.

Sky Sports opted to pick Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth as their live 2:00PM GMT game before Manchester United vs Arsenal in the 4:30PM GMT slot.
This means that the only way fans will be able to watch the game is on the highlights released by Sky Sports after the game or on Match of the Day 2 on Sunday night.
Chelsea vs Leicester H2H record
Even though Chelsea have been in equally poor form compared to Leicester, it’s no surprise to see that the Blues have the upper hand when the two teams have met throughout the years.
In fact, Sunday’s game will be the 128th competitive Chelsea vs Leicester fixture.
| Chelsea wins | 63 |
| Draws | 35 |
| Leicester wins | 28 |
The Foxes have a pretty poor record against the two-time European champions though, only beating them 28 times in comparison to the 63 games that their opponents have won.
It’s going to be another tall order but if there’s ever a time to prove the club motto of ‘Foxes Never Quit’ is right, it’s here.
