What Brentford fans were chanting to brutally mock Ruud van Nistelrooy during Leicester City defeat

Leicester City fans were made to suffer painfully through another 90 minutes of football, with Brentford running riot at the King Power Stadium.

More comical defending and a lack of urgency saw Brentford open up a 3-0 lead in the first half thanks to strikes from Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Mbeumo while substitute Fabio Carvalho got on the score sheet in the second half.

Ruud van Nistelrooy would have been bitterly disappointed with what he saw during Leicester’s 4-0 defeat to Brentford but the Dutchman has done nothing to fix their problems.

It saw Leicester set an unwanted Premier League record against the Bees, becoming the first team ever to concede at least two at home for six games in a row without scoring in each match.

The continuous poor performances and results have also seen fans demand Van Nistelrooy gets sacked after watching the 48-year-old win just two of his 14 league matches.

What Brentford fans were chanting to mock Ruud van Nistelrooy

Van Nistelrooy was made to watch on as the visitors continued to dominate his side. There were moments when Leicester threatened, particularly through Jamie Vardy, but they just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.

Embarrassingly, as demonstrated by the scoreline, their defending was even worse than their ability to score, leaking sloppy goals for fun and looking incredibly disorganised.

While many Leicester fans walked out of the King Power Stadium at the half-hour mark once the third goal went in, there was a party atmosphere in the away end.

Supporters were delighted with what they were seeing, especially as this was their only fourth away win of the season, and several chants broke out of the away end.

Brentford fans chanted ‘cheerio’ when the Leicester fans were exiting the King Power and also directed a chant towards Van Nistelrooy to mock him.

Towards the end of the game, they could be heard saying: “You’re getting sacked in the morning”, and that is a demand most Leicester fans are hoping comes true.

Leicester have to sack Van Nistelrooy to save their season

Quite simply, the decision to hire Van Nistelrooy to replace Cooper has been a disaster.

Although some were excited about the appointment at the time, that has now eroded and quickly turned into anger, with no sign of him saving a sinking ship.

With 10 defeats in 11 league games and no goals scored in their previous six games at home, unfortunately, there is no chance Leicester stay up if they keep Van Nistelrooy.

The Leicester owner must act and pull the trigger on the Dutchman, although Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has previously said he won’t sack Van Nistelrooy.

Those comments were, however, made in November when the former Man United striker was hired, so perhaps that stance has now changed.
