What Leicester City fans could be heard chanting about Ruud van Nistelrooy during Fulham defeat

Leicester City are now in a full-blown crisis after losing 2-0 against Fulham in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester’s 2-0 defeat against Fulham extended their losing streak to seven matches in the league. More alarmingly, in each of those losses, the Foxes have conceded at least twice.

After a decent start in the dugout, the pressure is now piling on Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has now just collected four points from a possible 27.

The Premier League strugglers are conceding goals at an alarming rate and failing to put the ball in the net; two ingredients that will result in relegation if they don’t turn their situation around.

In their position at the bottom, Leicester supporters can perhaps forgive their side if they lose but looks like creating opportunities.

However, the hosts rarely threatened Bernd Leno’s goal and the fans directed their anger towards one decision Van Nistelrooy made during the game.

Leicester City fans voice their anger at Ruud van Nistelrooy after Bilal El Khannouss substitution

Although Leicester are unlikely to sack Van Nistelrooy given the club’s financial constraints, pressure is beginning to pile on the Dutchman with some questionable decision-making.

Buonanotte was left out of the starting lineup against Fulham to the dismay of some fans and during the game, the manager didn’t help himself.

Bilal El Khannouss has been a bright spark for the Foxes this term and in the fixture against the Cottagers, he looked the most likely to unlock the defence.

The Moroccan playmaker pulled the strings in behind Jamie Vardy and with the score at 1-0, he could have produced the quality to make the difference.

However, Van Nistelrooy didn’t see it that way, as El Khannouss was substituted for Kasey McAteer in the 64th minute and this decision didn’t go down well with supporters.

As highlighted by Rob Tanner on X, fans in the stands directed chants at Van Nistelrooy of “You don’t know what you’re doing,” accompanied by a wave of boos.

It sparked ugly scenes at the King Power Stadium, as it feels the former Manchester United striker has lost the faith of many.

Leicester are in huge danger of relegation under Ruud van Nistelrooy

Leicester have now lost seven games in a row and currently, the Foxes don’t look like turning their situation around.

The only saving grace is other sides around them dropping points but if they don’t start getting wins on the board soon, they will be cemented in the bottom three.

Under Van Nistelrooy, it looks like an impossible task for them to survive and considering the manager has little managerial experience, Leicester don’t even have that to lean on.

Unfortunately, with the Dutchman at the helm, relegation is looking likely and he isn’t the only one to blame as Jon Rudkin has blood on his hands.
