Leicester City confirmed the signing of Woyo Coulibaly from Parma on Wednesday night before their defeat against Crystal Palace.
Coulibaly signed a 4.5-year contract at Leicester City, with the right-back becoming the first addition of the Ruud van Nistelrooy era.
Leicester fans are excited about the possibility of watching the 25-year-old, who looks set to duel with James Justin for a place in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, Van Nistelrooy has already given many reasons why Coulibaly is perfect for the Premier League, including his strength, power and versatility.
Now, after sealing his transfer to the King Power Stadium, the Frenchman has told fans what the inspiration behind the move was.

Woyo Coulibaly watched Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante at Leicester City
It’s been a rollercoaster decade for Leicester and everyone is aware of their title-winning campaign in 2016, including new signing Coulibaly.
Coming from the French league initially, he would have watched the likes of N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez make a name for themselves in France before making the Premier League switch.
Of course, Kante and Mahrez are written in Leicester folklore after helping the Foxes win the Premier League title, and Coulibaly says he used to watch the two stars play.
Supporters were handed the opportunity to ask their new signing some questions on video via Instagram, and when asked why he joined the club, the right-back replied: “Because it’s a big club, I like this club, whenever I saw Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante play there.”
Arsene Wenger recently spoke highly of Kante and Mahrez, with Coulibaly the latest to give the pair their flowers for what they achieved in Leicestershire.
Where are Mahrez and Kante now
As everyone knows, Kante moved on to Chelsea in 2016 and lifted the Champions League alongside another Premier League title while Mahrez departed in 2018 and won everything at Manchester City.
The duo both left their respective clubs to join the Saudi Pro League in 2023, with Kante now playing for Al-Ittihad and Mahrez plying his trade for Al-Ahli.
Kante has amassed 59 appearances since joining and Mahrez has featured 55 times for Al-Ahli, scoring 19 and assisting 22 in all competitions.
As the duo approach the end of their illustrious careers, they will be always remembered by Leicester fans as two of the greatest talents to play in blue.
