Leicester City have been left furious by one decision made by the FA this week.
The Foxes are back in Premier League action against Aston Villa this coming weekend.
Leicester City will go into the latest round of fixtures having dropped down to 19th in the Premier League table.
It’s fair to say that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have not been at their best recently and have not been helped out by their tough run of games.
Meetings with Liverpool and Manchester City, expectedly, ended in defeat, but one game that really felt like a big blow to their survival chances was the 3-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
One man who was crucial to Wolves seeing off the Foxes was their top scorer in 2024/25, Matheus Cunha.

Leicester City fans furious as FA ban Matheus Cunha
Prior to facing Leicester on December 22nd, Cunha was hit with a ban by the FA after removing the glasses of an Ipswich Town coach during their meeting on December 14th.
However, the forward was not banned before the match and has since scored two goals and provided one assist to help Wolves overtake the Foxes in the table.

Now, as the FA confirmed Cunha’s ban on Tuesday, Leicester fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure at the decision arriving so late.
One fan wrote: “Incredibly frustrating that this has come after he played in two games where he scored and was crucial in wins, including one against Leicester. Doesn’t change the fact Leicester were awful that day, but Cunha was central to everything good about the team.”
A second added: “Matheus Cunha suspended for two games for an incident on December 14. Since then he scored two goals to help Wolves earn 7 points from 9 and move out the relegation zone.”
“How can you only get a two-game ban for an MMA elbow to the head of a steward? If he did it in a game to a player in the heat of the moment he’d get three for a start?”
Another simply wrote: “They couldn’t ban this guy earlier.”
A fifth wrote: “Joke. He only misses just two games now, one of which is an FA Cup tie vs Bristol City. Again, joke.”

FA statement on Matheus Cunha ban
Had Cunha been banned for the Leicester game or at least shortly after, Van Nistelrooy and co. may not be sitting in the relegation zone right now.
It’s pretty baffling the decision took so long to make and Leicester fans will no doubt feel it’s too little, too late.
In a statement, the FA wrote: “Matheus Cunha has been suspended for two games and fined £80,000 following the Premier League fixture between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town on Saturday 14 December 2024.
“The forward was charged with misconduct and it was alleged that he acted in an improper manner after the final whistle. He admitted the charge and the sanctions were subsequently imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission.
“Full written reasons for this case will be published in due course.”
