While most other supporters around the country will be cursing the return of an international break, Leicester City fans will be thankful.
In their last 14 games in the league, it’s 13 losses for Leicester City, who are destined to suffer relegation to the Championship this season.
The decision to replace Steve Cooper with Ruud van Nistelrooy looks worse with each week that passes as the Dutchman looks out of his depth tactically.
Surprisingly, despite their abysmal form as a whole, Leicester have eight players away on national duty, coming as a welcomed break from league action.
So, with the March international break in full swing, Leicester City News has looked at which players are the highest-rated in the Premier League this season, according to Sofascore.

Leicester City’s top five highest-rated players in 2024/25
Admittedly, hardly any player deserves to feature on this list but there are a select few who can hold their heads high.
Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has been exceptional at times this term and the Danish shot-stopper deserves more help in front of him.
Wilfred Ndidi has been a commanding presence in the middle of the park, while Jamie Vardy continues to be an important member of the squad, scoring seven in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Bilal El Khannouss has proven to be a fantastic signing from Genk, joining for £21 million last summer while witnessing his stock and value rise.
Unsurprisingly, all four of the above feature in the top four of their highest rated players this term, as seen below, but a surprising inclusion is midfielder Harry Winks.
Leicester City’s highest-rated players in the Premier League
Mads Hermansen – 7.02
Wilfred Ndidi – 6.97
Jamie Vardy – 6.86
Bilal El Khannouss – 6.85
Harry Winks – 6.80
Despite appearing in fifth position, it hasn’t been the best campaign for Winks, who has failed to reach the heights of his excellent campaign in the Championship.
The 29-year-old has recently been coming off the bench, with Van Nistelrooy preferring a midfield duo of Boubakary Soumare and Ndidi. The Englishman arguably hasn’t done enough to change the manager’s mind in that regard.
Winks will be a crucial player if Leicester return to the Championship
Only a miracle can save Leicester this season as it’s looking like Championship football in 2025/26.
While several could pack their bags and leave, including Ndidi, Hermansen and El Khannouss, Winks could stay and play a prominent role.
In the 2023/24 title-winning campaign, Winks was arguably the best deep-lying playmaker in the division, often controlling the tempo of games with his passing.
A return to the second tier could see him continue his dominance in that regard, becoming a prominent member of the squad once more.
