A max exodus of players could move on from Leicester City this summer as a fresh start in the Championship beckons.
Leicester are nailed on to suffer relegation to the second tier after losing 13 of their last 14 league matches while failing to score in their last seven home games.
The appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy, who replaced Steve Cooper in November, has been a complete disaster.
Although not helped by the club’s poor recruitment in the summer and in January, Van Nistelrooy’s lack of tactical nouse and stubbornness to make changes have ultimately cost the Foxes any shot at survival.
And while relegation can result in Leicester splashing the cash in the Championship, they could also see several of their first-team squad leave, including one of their longest-servants.

Wilfred Ndidi is open to joining Galatasaray
According to the outlet Turkish Football, Galatasaray are interested in signing midfielder Wilfred Ndidi this summer.
The report claims that Ndidi, who Leicester signed for £15 million in January 2017, is open to joining Galatasaray due to the lure of Champions League football.
The 28-year-old helped the Foxes win promotion back to the Premier League last term and has since played a vital role in 2024/25, laying on four assists in 20 top-flight appearances.
While Leicester were able to hold onto Ndidi the last time they were in the second tier, relegation to the Championship casts doubt over the player’s future.
Remarkably, he isn’t the only player who has been targeted by the Turkish side. Galatasaray wanted to sign Wout Faes in January but were put off by the Belgian’s £16 million asking price.

Ndidi could play with Yunus Akgun at Galatasaray
The prospect of joining Galatasaray is made all the more appealing for Ndidi, who could link back up with attacking midfielder Yunus Akgun.
Akgun spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at the King Power, though he failed to produce consistent performances under Enzo Maresca, and so a permanent deal wasn’t triggered.
However, it appears the 24-year-old is a different player in Turkey as he’s scored 11 and assisted eight in all competitions this term, including five strikes in the Europa League.
For Ndidi, joining a side chasing the league title every season and competing in Europe is a tantalising prospect, with the chance for the all-action midfield to slot in behind Akgun.
It remains to be seen whether Galatasaray make a suitable offer for the Nigerian but whatever happens, his departure feels inevitable this summer.
