Leicester City have a new manager at the helm after appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Van Nistelrooy was confirmed by Leicester on Friday night, signing a contract until June 2027.
The Dutchman joins after a recent spell as interim manager at Manchester United, where he won three of his four games in charge.
Upon his arrival, Van Nistelrooy has already issued a message to the Leicester supporters and it seems his appointment has sparked plenty of excitement given Foxes fans’ reaction to Van Nistelrooy on social media.

Who will Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first game as Leicester City manager be against?
The Foxes are back in action on Saturday with a trip to west London to face Brentford but, despite his appointment before the game, the 48-year-old won’t be in charge.
A trio of Leicester coaches will be in charge against Brentford consisting of Ben Dawson, Andy Hughes and Danny Alcock.
In the club’s official statement, they did confirm that Van Nistelrooy will be in attendance at the Gtech Community Stadium but won’t begin his duties as the new Leicester manager on Sunday.
His first game in charge will be in front of the home supporters at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday 3 December, when they face West Ham United.

What have the Leicester City owner said about new manager appointment?
As expected the Leicester owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha is excited by his new appointment and believes that Van Nistelrooy has what it takes to guide the Foxes to safety.
