A trip to Old Trafford awaits Leicester City on Friday night as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men aim to advance into the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Leicester fans weren’t pleased to draw Man United in the FA Cup, seeing as though it’s the third time they’ve played them at Old Trafford this season.

The Foxes lost on both occasions, in the league and Carabao Cup, but Ruud van Nistelrooy will be desperate to pull off an upset against his former club.

It’s just one win in their last eight league matches for Leicester but luckily, Ruben Amorim’s men aren’t in great form either, losing 2-0 against Crystal Palace last time out.

Leicester City team and injury news ahead of Man United clash

Supporters have had little to shout about on and off the pitch in recent times. Van Nistelrooy carried out a frustrating transfer window as only Woyo Coulibaly joined from Parma.

Add to that their terrible form in the league and fans have rightfully directed their anger at Jon Rudkin, the man largely responsible for transfers at Leicester.

But in hard times there is always light at the end of the tunnel and in Thursday’s press conference, Van Nistelrooy revealed that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will return to the squad vs Man United.

Ndidi has been out with an injury since the 2-2 draw against Brighton in mid-December, with the 28-year-old missing nine league matches.

Fortunately, that wasn’t the only good news to emerge as the Leicester boss confirmed that 16-year-old Jake Evans and 15-year-old Jeremy Monga will be named in the squad to take on Man United.

Evans and Monga have heavily impressed for the under-21s and now have a shot at history if they come off the bench at Old Trafford.

Leicester City predicted lineup vs Man United

Leicester were thrashed 4-0 by Everton last time out. In an ideal world, most of that starting lineup would be dropped but that isn’t possible.

Mads Hermansen should keep his place in goal after returning last week and there should be at least one change in defence, with Coulibaly finally making his Leicester debut.

Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes are lucky to keep their place after their horror shows at Goodison Park while Victor Kristiansen continues at left-back.

Harry Winks and Boubakary Soumare will also continue in midfield but they’ll need to improve from their performance last weekend.

Van Nistelrooy aimed a subtle dig at Buonanotte in his press conference however, the Argentine should come in on the right flank, replacing the ineffective Jordan Ayew while Stephy Mavididi could replace Bobby De Cordova Reid on the left.

As usual, Bilal El Khannouss will line up behind the veteran Jamie Vardy.

Leicester City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Coulibaly, Vestergaard, Faes, Kristiansen; Winks, Soumare; Bounanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy.
