Leicester City could be on the hunt for a fourth permanent manager in two years if reports are to be believed.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is in charge for the time being but given that the Leicester boss has history of walking out on clubs, there is every chance that a new manager could be on the Foxes’ shopping list.
As it stands, the East Midlanders are on course to make an instant return to the Championship following a dismal Premier League campaign that has left them nine points off safety with only nine games to go.

But, if reports are to be believed in France, a new man could come in.
Liam Rosenior has been linked with the Foxes – a man who was one of the few to mastermind a victory against Leicester last season.
He’s since moved on to Strasbourg where he is also impressing but to get the full lowdown on him, Leicester City News spoke to Hull City fan, Tom Griffin.

How would you describe Liam Rosenior’s style of play?
“Liam Rosenior’s style of play is patient, and possession-based, requiring his players to be comfortable on the ball and slowly carve through the opposition. It isn’t too dissimilar to Enzo Maresca’s style, who was known for his slower, methodical style.”
What formation does Liam Rosenior like to play?
“During his time at Hull City, Rosenior mainly used a 4-2-3-1 formation, encouraging his wingers to stay high and wide with an onus on the number 10 drifting late into the box. Rosenior also liked his full-backs to defend more than attack, telling him to stay back more rather than push forward at every opportunity.“
What is Liam Rosenior’s greatest strengths?
“Rosenior’s greatest strength is man management, instilling belief into a system and working with young players. For instance, when Liam Delap arrived at Hull, he was low on confidence after two uneventful loan spells at Stoke City and Preston. But Rosenior got the best out of him in East Yorkshire and he’s now flying in the Premier League.“

Where can Liam Rosenior improve?
“Just like many modern-day managers, Rosenior isn’t very adaptable, often refusing to change his system or formation in-game, even when it’s going wrong. He also played it quite safe during his time at Hull, as instead of going for the killer blow with the scores level, his approach to winning was more reserved. To become a top manager, he needs to be more proactive and not reactive.“
Which Leicester players would thrive under Liam Rosenior?
“Harry Winks would be excellent in Rosenior’s system. He likes one of his midfielders to dictate possession and pull the strings. Jean Michael Seri did that at Hull, and Winks has the skill set to do a similar job. Stephy Mavididi is another who would flourish, especially in the Championship, with Rosenior able to get the best out of pacey and direct wingers. He did just that with Jaden Philogene at the MKM Stadium.“

Which Leicester players would Liam Rosenior look to move on?
“Rosenior’s approach at Hull was driven by recruiting younger players, either on loan or permanently. One would assume that Wout Faes would be out of the door, as he’s not the most comfortable with the ball at his feet. The likes of Jannik Vestergaard and Patson Daka would probably be put on the chopping block too.”
Does Liam Rosenior like to utilise the youth academy?
“Rosenior would probably licking his lips with some of the top talent coming through Leicester’s academy. He loved to use young players at Hull, seeing Jacob Greaves develop into a top defender and the likes of Philogene and Delap star on loan. He’d definitely look to integrate the youth at any opportunity.”

How was Liam Rosenior’s relationship with the board at Hull?
“At Hull City, he was on great terms with chairman Acun Ilicali and vice chairman at the time, Tan Kesler. The owners felt confident backing him in the transfer window, and although he didn’t deliver the desired play-off finish, some fans felt he could have eventually won the Tigers promotion.”
What would be considered success for Liam Rosenior at Leicester?
“Anything other than promotion back to the Premier League would surely be seen as a failure for Rosenior. The size of Leicester and expectation from the fans means he’d be immediately under pressure. Of course, with an expected relegation to the Championship, a top-two finish for any manager would be a success.”
