Leicester City finally got off the mark before the international break, but there is still plenty of work required.
Facundo Buonanotte’s first-half strike was enough to win against Bournemouth as Steve Cooper got a much-needed three points.
It wasn’t smooth sailing as the Foxes had to ride their luck at times and had Mads Hermansen to thank following some excellent stops.
It’s not the first time Leicester have been indebted to their Danish shot-stopper and the stats prove that they would be far worse without him.

Mads Hermansen tops Premier League charts for most saves made
Hermansen has been one of Leicester’s standout performers and announced himself on the Premier League stage with an incredible 13 saves in a 4-2 defeat against Arsenal.
It contributed to the stat that makes good reading for the 24-year-old, who has made the joint-most saves in the top flight.
His 33 saves are matched by Brentford’s Mark Flekken only and while it’s a great personal accolade, seeing your goalkeeper topping the charts doesn’t reflect well on his teammates.
The Bournemouth victory was the first time the Foxes had kept a clean sheet in the league.
Reflecting on the feat, Hermansen admitted that he was happy for himself, but called on his teammates to improve defensively.
“In isolation, it’s a positive number for me, but there’s also another side to it because as a team we allow perhaps too many chances against and our defensive play is perhaps not good enough,” he told Danish media.
“But it’s great to contribute those numbers because it’s my job.”

Leicester City’s next three games will have huge say on their season

As several stars return from international duty, attention now turns to a huge three weeks for the Foxes.
Games against Southampton, Nottingham Forest, and Ipswich Town all come for Cooper’s side and these will be games that Leicester should be targeting points from.
Last season saw the East Midlanders trounce Southampton both home and away and will be the favourites for the trip to the south coast.
Nottingham Forest is the hardest of the three games awaiting Cooper’s side. As it’s a local derby, form goes out the window but in front of the home fans under the lights at the King Power Stadium, Leicester will back themselves to earning local bragging rights.

Finally is a trip to the second side who joined them from the Championship, Ipswich Town.
Like Southampton, this is also away from home and picking up points against sides they will be battling with to avoid relegation.
Should Leicester come away unscathed and take at least five points from the next three games, survival is well and truly on.
Anything less and the pressure will be ramped up.
