Marc Albrighton wasn’t impressed by his former Leicester City teammates in their performance against Manchester United.
Leicester were comfortably beaten by Man United to leave them with a mountain to climb in order to preserve their Premier League status.
13 defeats from their last 14 top flight games is a damning statistic. To add to it, the Foxes made unwanted history twice by losing seven home games in a row without scoring and conceding 1000 top flight goals quicker than anyone else.
It’s got to the point where Leicester fans are ironically cheering shots on goal whilst the only other sound heard was Man United fans mocking Jamie Vardy.
Relegation seems inevitable and Albrighton was extremely disappointed with what he saw.

Marc Albrighton accuses Leicester of being ‘scared’
Albrighton was a part of Sky Sports’ coverage for the heavy loss on Sunday night.
During his time at the King Power Stadium, the former wide man was part of a squad that were often touted as underdogs and defied the odds to stay up and then win the title the following season.
That doesn’t seem to be the case, with Albrighton slamming the players for their approach to the game and accusing them of looking frightened.
He said: “Nobody wants to be the one to give it away, so they play the safe pass. Defensively they’re scared to to go and commit to to put a tackle in.
“People are standing off, standing off the attackers and giving them a free shot and that’s where the goal comes from.”
Leicester City never recovered from Enzo Maresca departure
One of the big factors Albrighton has attributed to the Foxes’ woes this season is the post-Enzo Maresca hangover.
Maresca left for Chelsea in the summer and was a hugely popular figure amongst fans and players.
The Italian hasn’t been replaced well, with Steve Cooper and Ruud van Nistelrooy both struggling, meaning that the Leicester owner must shoulder the blame.
Players have made their feelings clear on this too. In November, several Leicester players partied in Copenhagen with a sign that read ‘Enzo I miss u’ just hours after they were beaten by a Chelsea side managed by him.
Leicester are in a rut and they don’t seem to be getting out of it any time soon.
