Sheffield United fans are all saying the same thing about Leicester loanee Hamza Choudhury after debut

Leicester City have been really active on the outgoing front this winter.

Leicester have made just one addition this month but they’ve already offloaded four, once Will Alves’ loan move to Cardiff City goes through.

Tom Cannon has completed a £13m switch to Sheffield United and Brandon Cover recently moved to Fleetwood Town.

Hamza Choudhury has also joined The Blades and he made his debut for the Championship promotion hopefuls on Saturday in a 1-0 away win at Derby County.

That said, Sheffield United fans have now been reacting to his performance and are all saying the same thing.

Sheffield United fans give Hamza Choudhury MOTM award

Choudhury was thrown straight into Sheffield United’s starting line-up against Derby and played the full 90 minutes.

After the game, Blades fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to heap praise on the Leicester loanee, with many giving him the Man of the Match award.

“Choudhury has won absolutely everything. Fantastic. MOTM,” @KopFinest posted.

@AllThingsBlades said: “Hamza Choudhury btw, absolutely phenomenal.”

@FletchRadio added: “Huge win that. Hamza Choudhury looks like a genuine piece of the jigsaw we were missing (even without the injuries)”

“Hamza Choudhury take a bow best player on pitch,” @dazmanrobbo commented.

“Hamza Choudhury, what a boy,” @Jonzysufc added.

@njks1889: “Hamza Choudhury is gunna be a proper Blades type player.”

Chris Wilder hails Choudhury

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, who worked with Choudhury at Watford, also hailed the Bangladesh international.

“Hamza was typical Hamza,” Wilder said after the match.

“Not played any sort of football for quite a while and covered every blade of grass. I’m talking about him having modified minutes and coming off after 70 minutes, that weren’t happening.

“He’s a proper footballer, his quality at times was great, got about the pitch and broke it up.”

It seems the Leicester loanee certainly had a debut to remember and perhaps Ruud van Nistelrooy will regret allowing him to leave given the current predicament his side are in.
