There are less than three days remaining of the winter transfer window and Leicester City fans are still waiting for more additions to be made.

Leicester City signed Woyo Coulibably from Parma earlier in the window as competition for James Justin at right-back.

He has since made his debut off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur but aside from Coulibably, there hasn’t been much movement on the incomings front.

But a lot can still happen in the final days of the transfer window and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest news and rumours coming out of the King Power Stadium.

Will Alves set to leave Leicester City

Will Alves is a product of Leicester’s academy and has so far made five appearances for their senior team.

However, he is really struggling to break into the first team, earning just one minute of Premier League football in 2024/25.

Now, Wales Online are reporting that Championship outfit Cardiff City are set to sign Alves on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

There is no mention of an option to buy in the deal, with Leicester still said to be fans of the 19-year-old.

Leicester City striker target to join Lille

In another blow, the Midlands outfit are set to miss out on one of their centre-forward targets.

Leicester were linked with Chuba Akpom earlier this week and he could have proven a decent backup option for Jamie Vardy.

However, David Ornstein has now reported that Ligue 1 outfit Lille have reached an agreement with Ajax to loan the former Middlesbrough ace with an option to buy.

Ruud van Nistelrooy update on Leicester City transfer plans

With players leaving and targets being missed out on, fans are likely growing frustrated as the February 3rd deadline nears.

However, Ruud van Nistelrooy provided a Leicester transfer update recently and it was fairly positive.

He said: “We’re still working on a couple of things. We know there’s the deadline and that’s what we’re working towards. We’ll work until the last second to get something done.

“If we can get something then great, if not we’ll carry on with this group.”
