Leicester City have the weekend off owing to the FA Cup but there is still plenty of news coming out of the club.

The Foxes were knocked out of the competition by Ruud van Nistelrooy’s former side, Manchester United, in the fourth round.

Harry Maguire scored an offside goal against his former club, meaning the Midlands outfit will not be in action again until March 9th.

But the relegation battle rolls on for Leicester City, and with that in mind, here is all the latest news from the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City linked with Manor Solomon

Leicester had a nightmare January transfer window, which left Van Nistelrooy in serious trouble for the remainder of this season.

However, the club are still seemingly working on potential targets as we now shift focus toward the summer transfer window.

It has emerged that Leicester are looking at Manor Solomon of Tottenham Hotspur, who is currently plying his trade on loan with Leeds United in the Championship.

Solomon has a £20m price tag, and it’s understood the Foxes will only make a move if they avoid relegation in 2024/25.

Kelechi Iheanacho struggling since leaving Leicester City

Kelechi Iheanacho left the King Power on a free transfer during the summer of 2024.

He linked up with Spanish outfit Sevilla initially but has since joined Middlesbrough on loan for the remainder of 2024/25.

Things have not worked out for the forward, however, with Iheanacho dropped by Boro and Nigeria this week.

Michael Carrick did not select him for the Teessider’s win over Bristol City, while the striker has been left out of his country’s upcoming squad for the March break.

Graham Potter gives Jamie Vardy verdict

There has obviously been a lot of talk surrounding West Ham United and Leicester, given their game this week.

Ahead of the match played on Thursday, Graham Potter gave his verdict on Jamie Vardy, whom he thinks is ‘unique’.

He said on Vardy when comparing the forward to Jarrod Bowen: “I don’t think it’s fair to either of the players to compare them – Jamie Vardy is unique. He’s the best Jamie Vardy there is. Absolutely fantastic in terms of what he has achieved.

“His goalscoring record, winning the Premier League, winning the FA Cup, an unbelievable story from non-league to winning the Premier League.

“But Jarrod is Jarrod and he’s the best at being him. He’s our captain. A wonderful player. Probably not the same goalscorer as Jamie.”
