A Belgian football legend has claimed that one of Leicester City’s star players should regret making the move.
There hasn’t been a lot to smile about for Foxes fans this season, who are well and truly embroiled in a relegation battle.
Leicester have lost their last seven Premier League games and the East Midlanders will match an unwanted 24 year record if they lose against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Fans at the King Power Stadium turned on the players and hierarchy, with director of football John Rudkin at the centre of Leicester supporters’ frustrations.
Some players have been shining lights in an otherwise dismal campaign but one football star has claimed that a key Foxes player made the wrong move.

Gert Verheyen claims Bilal El Khannouss was wrong to join Leicester City
Recruitment has been a big issue at Leicester this season, however, Bilal El Khannouss is one that can be regarded as a success.
El Khannouss has been one of Leicester’s best players this season and has the ability to get fans off their seats in the hope he could create something and guide the Foxes to safety.
Ruud van Nistelrooy refused to explain why he subbed El Khannouss on Saturday – a decision that was met with a raft of boos and cries of ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’.

The Morocco international joined for £21m from Genk in the summer and Gert Verheyen, a Belgian legend with over 50 caps and 200 career goals believes he should’ve gone to the Bundesliga instead.
“I don’t understand why El Khannouss went to Leicester. Leicester… I think that’s a very bad choice”, he told Belgian daily Het Laatse Nieuws (via Voetbal Belgie).
“I would have chosen the Bundesliga in his place.
“To a top five club, with a lot of men running around you.”

Bilal El Khannouss can help save Leicester’s season
It feels somewhat unfair to pin your hopes on a 20-year-old in his first season of Premier League football, but we’re getting to that point.
Jamie Vardy has been in terrible form of late and aside from Facundo Buonanotte, El Khannouss is the only one who looks capable of pulling the Foxes out of this mess.
For an attacking midfielder playing in the number 10 role, the youngster isn’t afraid to do the dirty work, get back and win the ball, as well as carry it further up the field in hope of finding that killer through ball.
His performances will no doubt be admired by other clubs from afar as it’s hard to ignore such talent.
Perhaps the biggest criticism is that he doesn’t have enough goals or assists (two goals, four assists) but then again, if those in front of you aren’t putting away chances, how are you meant to tot up your tally?
In a season where there is so much at stake it’s time to stand up and be accounted for. El Khannouss seems up for the fight.
