Nottingham Forest fans were heard chanting about Leicester City during their win against Wolves on Monday night.

It’s been a tale of two seasons for both East Midlands clubs with Forest challenging for the Champions League spots whereas the Foxes are in a relegation battle.

Leicester were handed a huge favour from their rivals as Wolves were beaten 3-0 to keep the Foxes within two points of Vitor Pereira’s side.

Nottingham Forest fans chant about Leicester City during Wolves win

It may well have been another night to remember for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men but Leicester were still the topic of conversation at Molineux.

Forest were cruising through the game and as a taunt to Wolves fans, were heard chanting “You’re going down with the Leicester.”

It’s not the first time Forest have mocked Leicester this season. When the two teams met at the King Power Stadium in October, Forest supporters were heard singing former manager Steve Cooper’s name when he was in charge of the Foxes at the time.

Since then, Cooper has been sacked by Leicester and was replaced by Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has overseen just one win from his opening seven games in charge.

Leicester rivalling Nottingham Forest for prolific goalscorer

As well as being rivals on the pitch, it seems that Forest and Leicester are also going to be battling it out in the transfer window.

Reports have claimed that Leicester and Forest both want Petar Musa, who has been scoring goals for fun in the MLS.

Musa could allegedly be available for £15m and having scored 23 goals for FC Dallas this season, could be the perfect fit for the Foxes, who are struggling for goals this season, to pull themselves away and climb up the table to safety.

If he were to join Forest instead, it’s likely the Croatia international would play second fiddle to Chris Wood, who is one of the most in-form strikers in the top flight.
