Leicester remain active in the transfer market leading up to deadline day on February 3rd.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is desperate to sign reinforcements this month as he looks to guide Leicester out of relegation trouble.

City picked up a much-needed three points on the weekend away at Tottenham Hotspur, which lifted them out of the bottom three.

But there’s evidently still plenty of work to be done and with that said, it’s understood the club are looking at adding to their attacking ranks.

Leicester have been eyeing Troyes winger Cyriaque Irie, though, there’s strong competition from RC Lens.

They’re also targeting a highly-rated forward on the continent and with that said, Fabrizio Romano has just provided the latest update on his situation.

Leicester target Mathys Tel now wanted by Aston Villa and Man United

Leicester have been linked with Mathys Tel in recent weeks as they look to add quality to their forward ranks.

However, it’s quickly become apparent that the £40m-rated Tel is unattainable for the cash-strapped Foxes and that’s only further cemented after Fabrizio Romano’s latest update.

Romano claims seven clubs are now showing an interest, with Aston Villa the latest to join the race having already asked for the conditions of the deal.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be keeping tabs on the Bayern Munich star, too.

Leicester only able to do loan deals

It’s understood Leicester are only able to sign loan players from abroad this window, further amplifying just how restricted their budget is.

The sacking of Steve Cooper will have played a major factor in their inability to spend this month and Khun Top made that clear at the time.

City currently have their two domestic loan spots filled, so unless one of Facundo Buonanotte or Odsonne Eduoard return to their parent clubs, they can only fish in the overseas market.
