All roads lead to relegation for Leicester City this term after a terrible return to the Premier League under Steve Cooper, and now Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The rift between the fans and Leicester City owners has never been bigger, as further protests are being planned before the end of the campaign.
A plane banner which reads ‘King Power Out’ is set to fly over the King Power Stadium when Leicester host Liverpool towards the end of April.
Fans are voicing their opinions over the poor ownership, having watched an abysmal two transfer windows unfold while witnessing 13 losses in 14 league games.
It’s been a terrible time for Ruud van Nistelrooy since taking the job in November, and the Dutchman is taking a sinking ship into the Championship, where Leicester’s transfer plans will be drastically altered.

Lee Hendrie has urged Giorgi Chakvetadze to sign for Leicester
Encouragingly, Leicester would have money to spend in the Championship after recovering from their previous PSR problems, and former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has urged Watford playmaker Giorgi Chakvetadze to sign for the Foxes.
Speaking to Football League World, Hendrie said: “I think he’s quite a big player for Watford, and has been a standout player for so many reasons.
“I really think you need that move to really push on to the next level. I’ve seen him lots of times, and probably, the way Watford have been this season, there’s this uncertainty with lots of managers coming in and out the door.
“I think maybe he might need some stability himself, because lots of people are talking about him. I still think there’s lots more to come from him on a goals and assists front because he’s got the ability.
“Again, he’s probably been one of the standout players for Watford, so no surprise if Leicester do come down then maybe that step up in quality, and having that bit of security and that foundation and platform where he can go play off, probably, a stronger squad.”
Chakvetadze, who plays with PSG superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the international stage with Georgia, has been the Hornet’s stand-out player with two goals and six assists this term.
But, with the prospect of Leicester being relegated and Chakvetadze ready to sign for a top end Championship team, a transfer for the 25-year-old makes a lot of sense.
Leicester wanted to sign Chakvetadze in January
In January, Leicester only signed one player, and that was right-back Woyo Coulibaly, signifying an awful month of business.
That being said, Van Nistelrooy did have several targets on his radar, with Leicester showing an interest in Chakvetadze.
Unsurprisingly, their attempts to sign the Georgian playmaker were snubbed, as Watford were unwilling to sell one of their star talents midway through the campaign.
However, with the summer transfer window approaching, perhaps Leicester will go in for a second bite of the cherry and land the versatile attacker.
Chakvetadze primarily plays as a number 10 but he’s also capable of flourishing down the left wing or as a striker.
It will be interesting to see how Leicester approach business if relegation happens, with Chakvetadze perhaps being one option they should consider.
