Leicester City could be bringing in a signing after all following reports that Craig Dawson could be on his way to the King Power Stadium.
Dawson could move to Leicester as part of a swap deal that would see Conor Coady return to Wolves.
Foxes fans have mocked Wolves for going back in for Coady but question marks will be asked if 34-year-old Dawson is a genuine upgrade on the former England international and current options available to Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The centre-back isn’t the most inspiring of signings and certainly won’t do much to raise Leicester’s hopes of survival, but, he will already be in the good books amongst the King Power faithful after playing a special part in the club’s history.

Craig Dawson scored important goal that helped Leicester City win Premier League
Centre-backs aren’t traditionally known for their goalscoring prowess but Dawson does have history.
For example, at Rochdale, he scored 22 goals in 90 games. He found the back of the net occasionally for West Bromwich Albion too and one of his goals all-but-sealed the Premier League title for Leicester in 2016.
With Leicester edging closer to the title, Tottenham Hotspur knew they couldn’t afford to drop any more points and on paper, West Brom at home was deemed winnable.
West Brom had other ideas though and drew 1-1 as Dawson made up for his earlier own goal with the equaliser. Those points essentially confirmed the Premier League title would end up in Leicestershire and that’s exactly what happened.
How much will Craig Dawson cost Leicester City?
PSR fears are still very much on Leicester’s mind, who have tried to tread carefully this transfer window.
Leicester only spent £3m on Woyo Coulibaly and haven’t added anyone else, with loans and cheap deals all they are seemingly willing to part ways with.
The reports have suggested that Dawson and Coady will mean in a straight swap too, meaning that no fee will be paid.
Furthermore, Capology states that Dawson earns £45,000-a-week whereas Coady earns £75,000-a-week, meaning that Leicester would save as much as £30,000-a-week.
