Leicester City are looking at bolstering their striker options ahead of the transfer window closing.
The Foxes still have work to do on Deadline Day, particularly on the striker front with Tom Cannon set for a move away from the King Power Stadium after it was made clear that he was not set to be a part of Steve Cooper’s plans.
The striker is set for a move to the Championship, and the necessity to bring in strikers has been made emphasised even more with the long-term injury sustained by Patson Daka in pre-season.
As a result, Cooper’s side have looked towards bringing in extra faces to lead the line for the 2024/25 season, and they believe to have found the right man in Ligue 1.

Leicester City open negotiations with Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed
As Leicester City look to add a striker before the window slams to a close, they have identified Egyptian international Mostafa Mohamed as a suitable option for the 2024/25 season.
The Foxes have reportedly opened up negotiations for the 26-year-old attacker, and there is doubt that Mohamed will still be a Nantes player by the end of the day, per L’Equipe.
Mohamed led the line on 29 occasions in the 2023/24 season for Nantes, scoring eight goals.

Leicester City must get their striker signing correct
With the likely departure of Cannon in the window, Leicester City are left with just one fit striker.
Jamie Vardy is the only notable striker option at this point, but at the age-of-34 there is no assurance that he will be able to play every minute of a Premier League season.
This has obviously left Leicester City in the vital position of adding goalscoring firepower to the side, and with the record last season for Mohamed, there is very little assurance that he will provide this, and although it is incredibly late on in the window, the Foxes should look elsewhere in the hope of bringing in a Premier League striker.
