Ruud van Nistelrooy has provided an update on the ongoing transfer speculation surrounding one of his players.

The Foxes have only signed one player in this transfer window and look closer to shipping players out of the club as opposed to adding fresh faces.

Luke Thomas is wanted by Hoffenheim and could be another one to leave whilst Tom Cannon recently departed for Sheffield United.

Another player could also be heading to Yorkshire to join the Blades and Van Nistelrooy confirmed that a deal was all but done.

Hamza Choudhury set to complete Sheffield United move

Hamza Choudhury has been wanted by Sheffield United for some time and it seems like the Championship club have finally got their man.

Choudhury wasn’t in the Leicester squad as the Foxes beat Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, coming back from a goal down to do so.

The Leicester academy graduate has been a bit-part player and was one of two players to disappoint against Newcastle United.

His time on Filbert Way appears to be coming to an end though as Van Nistelrooy, via Fabrizio Romano, confirmed that a deal had been agreed for Choudhury to move to Bramall Lane.

It’s believed that Choudhury, who chose to represent Bangladesh recently, will move on a loan deal with an option to buy. The Blades will also cover his salary too.

Ruud van Nistelrooy provides transfer update after Tottenham win

Leicester’s win against Tottenham was the first time the Foxes avoided defeat in eight Premier League games and one that took them out of the bottom three.

It may prove to be a huge turning point in the season but new faces are still needed but once again, as he has throughout the window, Van Nistelrooy remained coy on the possibility of incomings.

He said: “We are looking to strengthen the team within the possibilities of the club. The focus is on this team.”
