Leicester City have made just one addition so far this transfer window.

Woyo Coulibaly is Leicester’s only addition so far this window after he completed a £3m switch from Serie A outfit Parma.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is in desperate need of further reinforcements as his side are currently languishing in the relegation zone.

Leicester are believed to be looking at a winger this month as they look to find a replacement for the injured Abdul Fatawu.

That said, they have been in the race to sign a highly-rated Premier League wide player and now a winner has been named.

Ipswich Town beat Leicester to Julio Enciso signing

According to Paraguayan outlet ABC Color, Leicester City have been showing an interest in Brighton attacker Julio Enciso.

The Foxes have been in competition with Ipswich Town, Borussia Dortmund and Valencia for the signature of Enciso.

Brighton are prepared to allow him to leave the club on loan, though, only to a club in England, leaving just Ipswich and Leicester.

Now, however, it has just emerged that Ipswich have agreed a deal to sign Enciso until the end of the season.

It’s thought Leicester would’ve had to sign Enciso on a permanent deal due to having their two loan spots full.

So perhaps that’s why Ipswich have been able to steal a march over their relegation rivals.

Leicester really need to offload Odsonne Eduoard

Odsonne Edouard, who is on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace, hasn’t been in the matchday squad since Van Nistelrooy arrived.

It’s understood City would like to send him back to Palace but the cost of doing so would be far too much, so at the moment, the club can’t sign any domestic loans.

Unless a club come in with a bid to sign Edouard, he is here to stay in the East Midlands and that’s going to have a real impact on transfers this month.

Atalanta United did launch a £15m bid for Edouard, but those rumours have since gone quiet.
