‘Best 11 so far’: Leicester City fans over the moon with team to face Crystal Palace

Ruud van Nistelrooy has named his Leicester City side to face Crystal Palace.

The Foxes have also been helped out by Enzo Maresca after he recalled Trevor Chalobah from Palace earlier today in a huge blow for the visitors.

Leicester meanwhile have made one change from their win against Queens Park Rangers as Jannik Vestergaard replaces Conor Coady.

Vestergaard is back after missing Saturday through injury and will partner Wout Faes, who impressed in the FA Cup win.

That means Facundo Buonanotte, who was singled out as one of two Leicester stars to impress Van Nistelrooy at the weekend, keeps his place after his goalscoring exploits.

James Justin also continues at right back as fans await the imminent signing of Woyo Coulibaly after he arrived for his medical on Monday.

Harry Winks also keeps his place despite a shaky display against QPR, but only one thing stood out to Leicester fans as they aim to collect a vital three points in the battle for Premier League survival.

Leicester fans happy with XI to face Crystal Palace

It’s very rare that a manager pleases the entirety of the fanbase with his team selection, but Van Nistelrooy seems to have unlocked the secret code.

The duo of Buonanotte and Bilal El Khannouss is extremely exciting to see after the pair linked up brilliantly at the King Power Stadium last weekend.

They say ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and certainly from an attacking sense, that’s what the Leicester boss has done and it’s gone down a treat with supporters.

“OH YES,” said one fan.

A second commented: “The best 11 RvN has produced so far.”

Another wrote: “Best team we have let’s do this.

“Some team that is!!!” stated another Foxes fan.

“Best 11 we have fit at the moment,” quoted a sixth.

Caleb Okoli not named in Leicester squad ahead of potential return to Italy

Whilst many were happy with the team selection, the biggest elephant in the room was the absence of Caleb Okoli from the squad entirely.

Okoli has been linked with a move to Parma despite only joining the Foxes permanently in the summer.

The Italian centre-back was a regular under Steve Cooper but has found game time hard to come by since his dismissal in November, racking up a total of 80 minutes of action since November.

There’s also no space for Tom Cannon, who was recalled from Stoke City, however, he is expected to depart to a Championship club.
