Leicester City predicted XI to face Spurs – Woyo Coulibaly earns debut & fan favourite returns

It really does feel like win or bust for Leicester City this weekend.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men have endured a torrid time of late and have lost their last seven Premier League games to find themselves 19th in the table.

Their opponents, Tottenham Hotspur, aren’t much better and are 15th after a combination of first-team injuries and dreadful displays has them performing way below par.

Spurs vocalised their support for Ange Postecoglou midweek and the Leicester owners’ stance on sacking Van Nistelrooy means he is also not under too much pressure.

A defeat on Sunday could match an unwanted 24-year record for the Foxes but three points could be the ultimate catalyst for their survival push and turn the season around.

Leicester City team news and latest injury updates

It appears once again that it will be the same faces unavailable to Van Nistelrooy this weekend.

Mads Hermansen, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi and Abdul Fatawu have all been long-term absentees and none seem any closer to returning to the fold.

It’s a list of star-studded players who would more than likely walk their way into the starting XI at the moment, perhaps highlighting that the Leicester boss has been given a slight disadvantage in tenure so far.

Woyo Coulibaly trained with his new teammates for the first time and can be included in the squad after the defender was unavailable for the loss against Fulham.

Starting in goal will of course be Stolarczyk, who is yet to keep a clean sheet in any of his six appearances this season.

In defence there will be one key change as out of form James Justin drops out to allow Coulibaly to come in and make his debut.

The rest of the back four remains the same, with Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen all involved.

Harry Winks and Boubakary Soumare continue to occupy the deeper roles in midfield whilst Stephy Mavididi and Bilal El Khannouss line up.

Van Nistelrooy refused to explain his El Khannouss substitution last week, but as one of Leicester’s best players this season, he is simply undroppable.

Speaking of best players, another standout has been Facundo Buonanotte and despite being one of two players to impress against QPR, was dropped against Fulham in place of Jordan Ayew.

Sadly for Ayew, he didn’t do anything of note to keep his place and now drops to the bench.

Jamie Vardy completes the attack despite his poor form of late.
