Ruud van Nistelrooy has sprung a surprise in his Leicester squad by naming an academy star on the bench for the game against Manchester City.
Van Nistelrooy has made two changes to the Leicester side that lost to Liverpool on Boxing Day, with Jamie Vardy returning to replace Patson Daka and Facundo Buonanotte starting in place of the suspended Jordan Ayew.
Injuries are a problem for the Foxes and despite Man City’s incredible record against Leicester, the Blues have been forced into promoting youth on the bench.
Two academy stars were spotted in Leicester training ahead of the game at the King Power Stadium, but it is another new name that has made the bench.

Leicester youngster Tom Wilson-Brown on bench for Man City game
Centre-back has been a huge issue for Leicester and a defensive area they may target in January.
Jannik Vestergaard and Conor Coady are both starting whilst Caleb Okoli must settle for a place on the bench.
Wout Faes is still out with injury meaning that Van Nistelrooy has promoted Tom Wilson-Brown to the senior squad and named him on the substitutes bench.
It’s unlikely Foxes fans will see him play today, but it will be a huge moment for the youngster personally.
Who is Leicester City youngster Tom Wilson-Brown?
Tom Wilson-Brown is a 20-year-old centre-back who currently plays for Leicester.
Wilson-Brown is a key component of the Leicester Under-23s squad and has featured regularly in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy campaigns.
As well as playing in the central defensive role, he can also operate as a left-back two.
His appearance in the matchday squad against Man City is the first time he has been named in a senior squad.
