Former Leicester City striker Matt Piper didn’t hold back in his assessment of Leicester City’s performance against Manchester United.
Once again it was defeat for the Foxes as Man United won comfortably thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes.
Ruud van Nistelrooy blamed Wout Faes for the opening goal in a tell-tale sign of the cracks in this Leicester team as the Championship beckons.
With 15 minutes to go it appeared that there were more Man United fans than Leicester supporters inside the King Power Stadium and Piper was brutal in his verdict post-match.

Matt Piper pinpoints exactly where Leicester are going wrong
Piper is never one to shy away from calling out his boyhood club whenever things aren’t up to standard.
The former Leicester academy graduate has said on several occasions that the Foxes aren’t Premier League quality.
All problems seem to go back to the same cause: recruitment, which was evident given that £25m midfielder Oliver Skipp wasn’t in the matchday squad.
Troy Deeney said Leicester must get the next transfer window right whilst Piper is baffled as to how nobody inside the club has cottoned on.
Speaking on the When You’re Smiling podcast, he said: “This group and this football club has dropped so far so quickly.
“If someone like me, who works on the local radio, is pointing out that this group hasn’t got the quality to stay in the Premier League then you’ve got big problems.
“I don’t look at a group of players that aren’t trying. They don’t believe they can stay in the Premier League and neither do the fans. It’s a real difficult moment to support the club.”

How many times have Leicester been relegated from the Premier League?
The Foxes are destined to be playing Championship football next season and it’ll be another relegation to add to the list.
It’s not the first time supporters have had to experience this sinking feeling and it still hurts every time – no matter how apathetic some have become.
If relegation is to be confirmed, this would be the fifth time in the Premier League era that Leicester have been sent down.
| Teams | Number of times relegated |
| Norwich City | 6 |
| West Bromwich Albion | 5 |
| Burnley, Leicester City, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Sunderland, Watford | 4 |
That puts them level with West Bromwich Albion and one behind Norwich City, who have been relegated more than any other team.
Should they turn it around and pull off another great escape, it may well be better than the one in the 14/15 season.
