Leicester City owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has had a meeting with the club’s players where he has hit out at the squad for their recent behaviour.

It’s been a turbulent few days for the Foxes after Leicester sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday.

But less than 24 hours after Leicester lost to Chelsea, several of the Foxes’ stars were spotted partying in Copenhagen.

The video went viral online, sparking criticism from fans who had watched them fall to another defeat.

As revealed by The Telegraph, Srivaddhanaprabha, known as ‘Khun Top’, held a meeting with the players where he told them some home truths.

Leicester City owner blames players for Steve Cooper sacking

During the meeting, ‘Khun Top’ addressed the sacking of Cooper and told the players that they had let the 44-year-old down.

Cooper won four of his 14 matches during his five-month spell in charge, leaving the Foxes 16th in the Premier League table.

While Srivaddhanaprabha made the final call to sack the Welshman, he told the players that he had expected better from them on the pitch.

Leicester hoped to have a new manager in place by Saturday, but that now appears unlikely.

Leicester City owner responds to viral video of players partying

Another topic Srivaddhanaprabha addressed was the viral video.

Several first team players were spotted partying in Copenhagen on the same night they had been beaten by Chelsea.

In the video was a sign that read “Enzo, I miss you” – a direct message to former boss, Enzo Maresca.

Although this was the club’s annual Christmas party, it reflected poorly on the players and the image portrayed of Leicester as a family club.

The report states that the players accepted responsibility and sat in silence as the owner addressed the team.
