Ruud van Nistelrooy has made his final decision on Leicester City’s coaching team ahead of the remainder of the season.

Van Nistelrooy has struggled at Leicester so far and has lost seven of his last eight games in all competitions.

Currently, the Foxes are marooned in the bottom three in 19th place – two points off Wolves in 17th.

Whilst Simon Jordan has urged Leicester not to sack Van Nistelrooy, it is clear to see that Leicester need a lift.

Only one player has signed for Leicester this transfer window so far and talks of any more incomings are few and far between.

Help could be offered in other places and Van Nistelrooy’s former Manchester United teammate Jaap Stam offered his services to Leicester.

Stam said he’d be willing to come in and help his Dutch counterpart if offered and now the Leicester boss has revealed his stance.

Ruud van Nistelrooy happy with Leicester City coaching staff

Since coming to the King Power Stadium, Van Nistelrooy has changed very little in the Foxes’ coaching department.

Brian Barry-Murphy and Jelle ten Rouwelaar are the only two additions, with Barry-Murphy already proving his worth, but it seems that no more will be added for now.

Speaking about the possibility of continuing to shake up the coaching staff, the 48-year-old said last week: “I’m very happy. The transfer window on coaching staff has closed.”

Ruud van Nistelrooy urges Leicester fans to stick together

Van Nistelrooy could match an unwanted 24-year record if Leicester lose against Spurs this weekend.

There is pressure for the hosts too as Ange Postecoglou’s future is also in doubt, however, after some sections of the crowd booed Van Nistelrooy, he has called for supporters to stick together and help his side turn their form around.

Speaking after the Fulham loss, he said: “There is no feeling sorry for ourselves.

“Sometimes you deserve criticism because it wasn’t good enough. As a squad and coaching staff, you stick together more than ever. That is key to survive.”
