Ruud van Nistelrooy could be about to make one of his boldest decisions yet in a bid to save his job.

West Ham United await the Foxes on Thursday night, who are looking to avoid making it an 11th Premier League defeat from their last 12 games.

By the time they kick off at 8:00PM at the London Stadium, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side may well be cut adrift even further at the bottom of the table had results gone against them.

Sadly, Chris Sutton and Paul Merson think West Ham will win and there’s hardly anyone else giving Leicester a fighting chance of remaining in the top flight.

With the odds stacked against them, something needs to change and Van Nistelrooy has hinted he could make a big call.

Ruud van Nistelrooy not afraid to make changes to Leicester lineup

One of the biggest criticisms Van Nistelrooy has faced in his spell as Leicester manager is the lack of changes made to his side.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Jordan Ayew started for the fifth consecutive game but have offered very little and the latter was ironically cheered when substituted.

The decision to not give Facundo Buonanotte minutes has left Leicester fans confused but despite the lack of rotation, the Foxes boss has insisted he will make alterations if it helps them get three points.

He said: “It’s always the right time, if you think it can help us. It’s the approach for every game.

“We’ve made quite a few changes. It’s not that you want to change all the time but if it will help to change results then we will.”

Ruud van Nistelrooy could finally unleash Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans

Two players Leicester fans have been pining to see is Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans.

Monga, who is wanted by Chelsea, is only 15 and one of the club’s most exciting talents in the Leicester academy.

Evans meanwhile is suffering from a minor injury but has received plenty of calls to start in light of Jamie Vardy’s poor run of form.

His excellent goalscoring record means that Evans has been labelled the heir to Vardy’s throne but he will need to return back to fitness.

It isn’t just Monga and Evans either who could contribute. Logan Briggs shined in the Under-21s’ win against Derby County and there are plenty of young Foxes to keep an eye on.

Van Nistelrooy could do a lot worse than give these youngsters a chance on the big stage – especially if they are brought into the fold should Leicester get relegated.
