Leicester City are working hard to find a new manager following their decision to sack Steve Cooper.

The Foxes want a new manager in place by this weekend, but options are proving to be difficult.

Graham Potter has reportedly rejected Leicester’s advances and David Moyes also appears to be out of the running.

Leicester are waiting to hear back from Ruud van Nistelrooy and Carlos Corberan has also been considered.

Some Foxes fans even want Michael Carrick but there are still plenty of names out there in the managerial world that could be tempted to come to the King Power Stadium.

With that, here’s three managers that nobody is talking about that the Leicester owners should consider appointing.

Kjetil Knutsen – Bodo/Glimt

Anyone following the remarkable story of Bodo/Glimt will know just what a brilliant job Kjetil Knutsen is doing.

Having won the Norwegian top flight in three of his six seasons in charge, Knutsen has stayed loyal to the club situated on the edge of the Arctic Circle, turning down job offers left, right and centre.

Knutsen has won three league titles in six years at Bodo/Glimt and famously beat Roma 6-1 in a Conference League campaign that saw them go all the way to the quarter-finals.

He’s been destined for a job in a top five league for a long time now and if offered it, Leicester could be a great destination.

Roger Schmidt – without a club

Roger Schmidt is well-versed in managing in the top European leagues having taken charge of clubs in Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal.

Schmidt was the man in charge of PSV when the Foxes knocked them out of the Conference League in 2022.

He impressed during his time as Bayer Leverkusen boss and also won the league with Benfica. It would be a different sort of challenge coming into a relegation battle, but with, knowledge of several leagues and a hunger to be closer to the top, he could bring that energy to the King Power Stadium.

Kasper Hjumland – without a club

Leicester have a large Danish contingent at the club and there’s nobody who knows them better than Kasper Hjumland.

The 52-year-old left his role as manager of Denmark’s national team earlier this year but did an excellent job.

He guided Denmark to the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and delivered some sensational team performances. His efforts to regroup and guide the players through difficult spells – on and off the pitch – is something that could come in handy for the Foxes.

There will be three player in Mads Hermansen, Jannik Vestergaard, and Victor Kristiansen who all know what’s expected of them already and as proven with Denmark, he is capable of getting an underdog to punch above their weight.
