Despite being named as one of the favourites for the job, it appears that Graham Potter won’t become the next Leicester City manager.
Potter reportedly turned down the Foxes’ approach on Sunday night, the same day they sacked Steve Cooper.
The former Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion boss has been approached by Leicester on three separate occasions and has waved away their offer every time.
Even though the highly-rated manager has been out of work since April 2023 it appears that he is willing to wait and there could be two clubs that he is keeping a close eye on.

Graham Potter will be looking at Newcastle and West Ham closely
One of the big issues with Leicester is their financial position off the pitch.
The Foxes narrowly avoided a points deduction thanks to the help of sports lawyer Nick De Marco but are still on the edge of breaching profit and sustainability rules for the next financial period.
This means that spending has to be cut back and valuable assets have to be moved on, such as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the summer.

Two Premier League clubs where there is more flexibility however is Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Both sides have more money available to them, with better squads and are less likely to be involved in relegation battles in the long term.
Eddie Howe and Julen Lopetegui are both under pressure for different reasons and Potter will know that he will be among the favourites if he bides his time and waits to see how events unfold.

The next Leicester manager shouldn’t be Graham Potter
The saying in life is ‘third time’s a charm’, but not for Leicester and Potter.
Despite trying after sacking Brendan Rodgers and Enzo Maresca leaving for Chelsea, the Foxes have failed to convince Potter that this is the club for him.
It’s evident that the former Brighton man sees himself at somewhere other than the East Midlands and now all work should be put into appointing the right fit.
Ruud van Nistelrooy appears to be the current favourite and Carlos Corberan is also another rumoured.
Some Foxes fans have suggested Michael Carrick as an option but with Leicester wanting a manager by this weekend, time is running out.
