Leicester City have a week left to complete any transfer business before the window shuts on 3 February.

It’s been painfully slow for the Foxes, who have only signed one player this month so far.

Outgoings have been more common for Leicester this season, with Ruud van Nistelrooy confirming Hamza Choudhury will leave to join Sheffield United on loan.

Van Nistelrooy has targeted four positions he wants to improve this winter, including a left-sided centre-back.

The Foxes have conceded goals for fun this season and improvements to the back four could help bolster their chances of Premier League survival.

One of those targets is showing exactly why he is of interest to Leicester after a standout performance this weekend.

Strahinja Pavlovic ‘extraodinary’ in AC Milan win

Centre-back is a huge priority for Leicester and Strahinja Pavlovic is one of those linked.

Pavlovic, 24, has found gametime hard to come by at AC Milan following his summer move from Red Bull Salzburg leading to some rumours suggesting he would be allowed to leave the San Siro.

The Serbia international has been reintroduced back into the first-team under new Milan boss Sergio Conceicao and starred in the Serie A side’s 3-2 win against Parma.

As per the Milan website, Pavlovic “delivered an extraordinary performance” and provided the assist for the winning goal in the 95th minute.

It was one of his best performances in a Milan shirt and if he is to leave – permanently or on loan – the Italian outfit will have an extra bartering tool to use.

Strahinja Pavlovic wants to stay at AC Milan

Even if Pavlovic is the best candidate on paper to move to the King Power Stadium, the chances of a move still seems extremely unlikely.

A player of his quality may not fancy the idea of battling for survival in the Premier League and his reported wage of £50,000-a-week could be a stumbling block.

As obvious as it sounds, Leicester also need Pavlovic to want the move but it seems the 24-year-old wants to fight for his spot at the San Siro.

Speaking after the win against Parma, he said: “I haven’t played for 10 games and there have been a lot of rumours in the media. But I’m here and I want to stay here.”
