Leicester City are interested in signing a nine-time capped international this summer but face competition from AFC Bournemouth.
Leicester City have brought four new first-team players to the King Power Stadium so far this summer.
Issahaku Fatawu, Caleb Okoli, Michael Golding, and Bobby De Cordova-Reid should all add quality depth to Steve Cooper’s squad as he aims to keep the Foxes in the Premier League next term.
After those signings, it is understood Leicester want to strengthen in four more areas this summer.
A new left-back, central-midfielder, winger, and a striker are thought to be of interest to the Midlands outfit.
Since that report it has emerged that Leicester are set to make a ‘big-money offer’ for Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate.
Leicester have opened talks with Arsenal for Reiss Nelson, who could add depth on the right wing.
And more recently, Leicester have been named as one of the clubs showing interest in Ben Doak of Liverpool.

Leicester City face competition from Bournemouth for transfer target
Now, it appears another position is being targeted by those in a position of power at the King Power.
Mads Hermansen is expected to act as Leicester’s number-one in the coming campaign.
However, backup for Hermansen is now questionable following an injury to Jakub Stolarczyk, who could be out for up to six months.
Stolarczyk’s injury means Danny Ward is now the current backup between the sticks but Leicester may be looking to change that before the 2024/25 season starts.
This comes with French outfit L’Equipe reporting that Leicester City have expressed an interest in nine-time capped Switzerland international goalkeeper, Yvon Mvogo.
Cooper and co. are expected to face competition from Mvogo from Premier League rivals, AFC Bournemouth.

Leicester may struggle to beat Bournemouth to Yvon Mvogo transfer
Ward has been at Leicester since his transfer from Liverpool in 2018.
During that time, the Welshman has made 47 appearances for the Foxes, keeping 16 clean sheets and conceding 64.
In truth, the 31-year-old’s time at the King Power has been rather disappointing and he is not good enough to be a back-up option in the top flight.
Should Hermansen suffer any sort of injury and Ward be forced into the net for an extended period, it could greatly hamper Leicester’s survival chances.
As a result, Cooper signing a player of Mvogo’s quality to compete for the number one spot does make sense.
The 30-year-old has a plethora of experience and has shone on the international stage and in Europe.
However, Leicester may struggle to get a deal for the keeper done for one key reason.
FC Lorient, Mvogo’s current side, is 40 percent owned by Black Knight Sports & Entertainment.
This is the same consortium that currently owns the Cherries. As a result, Bournemouth may have something of an edge when it comes to convincing Loreint to sell the player.
