Leicester City have been scouting far and wide in a bid to improve their squad this month.
There have been plenty of Leicester transfer rumours since 1 January, with the Foxes reportedly targeting low-budget full-back options as the priority.
That hasn’t stopped the East Midlanders from being linked with players in other positions, with Evan Ferguson allegedly admired by the Foxes.
Profit and sustainability fears have definitely played a part in Leicester’s lack of recruitment and they have already missed out on targets, most recently Max Aarons to Valencia.
But, as we reach the halfway point of the window, the dial is beginning to shift and clubs around the world are finally making some additions.

Newcastle transfer news: Eddie Howe tells Sean Longstaff to fight for future
One of the many players linked to Leicester this month is Sean Longstaff.
Newcastle’s homegrown talent has become a bit-part player at St James’ Park this term as Sandro Tonali, Joelinton and Bruno Guimarares are all regularly preferred instead.
Longstaff’s appearances have mainly come from the bench and reports in January have suggested that the Foxes are one of the clubs interested, as well as Everton.
The midfielder’s contract is up in June 2026 and would likely cost in the region of £20m and Eddie Howe has admitted that it is a difficult period for the 27-year-old.
I think Sean is fighting for his place and he has responded well to that challenge. It is very difficult for him and it is always very difficult for any player, the Newcastle boss said.
“The competition for places is so strong. You have six top players who all want to play, and if I go with that system, I can only pick three
“That is the challenge for him and whenever he plays he has to perform, that is very clear. Otherwise, your chances are obviously reduced. Any opportunity he gets he has to be at his best level.”

Do Leicester need Sean Longstaff?
If you asked most Leicester fans where the club’s priorities should lie this transfer window, central midfield would be low on the list.
On the books currently are: Wilfred Ndidi, Harry Winks, Boubakary Soumare, Oliver Skipp and Hamza Choudhury, as well as youngsters waiting in the wing.
It’s a position the Foxes are well-oiled in and unless there are departures, it’s not one that needs anymore bodies in.
Hamza Choudhury has been tipped to join Sheffield United and whilst Longstaff has significant Premier League experience, his services aren’t desperately needed right now.
