Day five of the January transfer window is here and Leicester City are working hard to get new faces in the door.

The Foxes may have lost against Aston Villa on Saturday, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill doing the rounds with Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side.

Centre-backs are Leicester’s priority, judging by their previous links, but there are still other areas that the Foxes want to focus on.

Now that the window has been open for nearly a week, both the fans and club will expect the activity to heat up as Leicester do everything they can to avoid being relegated back to the Championship.

With that, here are all of the latest transfer rumours involving Leicester.

The loan market is where Leicester may find most of their success due to the limited funds on offer this month.

One of those moves being touted is a deal for AFC Bournemouth right back Max Aarons.

Aarons has been linked with a temporary move to the King Power Stadium after falling out of favour on the South Coast.

Van Nistelrooy said Odssone Edouard is staying at Leicester but with Premier League rules only allowing clubs to have two players on loan from rival sides, one of him or Facundo Buonanotte would have to depart to free up a slot.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will use Man United contacts to bolster Leicester squad

Van Nistelrooy has his fair share of contacts in the footballing world after playing in many of Europe’s biggest leagues.

The Leicester boss has been linked with many players at the likes of Manchester United, with the Foxes reportedly interested in Harry Amass.

Other players at Old Trafford have also been closely linked with a move to the East Midlands and the Dutchman seems keen to explore every avenue he knows.

He said:” I’m looking at my network, having played in a couple of countries and for more clubs. It’s important to use my network in opportunities to strengthen the squad.”

Leicester have been interested in Ben Godfrey for some time but it appears that they have already fallen behind in the pecking order.

Reports have claimed that Godfrey could now join Ipswich Town on loan after the Tractor Boys submitted a bid.

Godfrey has been told he can leave Atalanta despite joining them in the summer but a move to Ipswich would be a surprise given that he spent four years at their fierce rivals Norwich City.
