Leicester City are in desperate need of new faces this January transfer window.

It’s been a difficult start to life in the East Midlands for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has won one of his seven games in charge.

The last five games have all ended in defeat for the Foxes, who are now second from bottom in the Premier League.

Centre-backs are a priority for Leicester, with Thomas Kristensen the latest name linked.

Strikers are also on the agenda and the Foxes are looking at Petar Musa, who is also wanted by Nottingham Forest.

A number of Championship stars such as Emmanuel Latte Lath are also being watched by Leicester but it’s one other who they have their eyes on.

Transfer expert reveals Leicester target wants Premier League move

Last weekend it was reported by TBR that Leicester are interested in Coventry City forward Haji Wright.

Wright, who plays for one of the Foxes’ biggest rivals, was a hero for the Sky Blues in their run to the FA Cup semi-finals, scoring goals against Wolves and Manchester United.

According to Graeme Bailey, the USA international is likely to cost Leicester in the region of £20m and that if an offer was made, the 26-year-old would be keen to make the step up to the Premier League.

It’s a large fee that could be a huge risk for Leicester given their perilous financial state but given that Jamie Vardy is the club’s top scorer with six goals in all competitions.

Interest in Wright seems to come at a time when the Foxes could be losing two of their current forward-thinking options

Patson Daka is reportedly of interest to Monaco but any deal to sign the forward could be hard to do given that Daka is highly rated by Van Nistelrooy.

Leicester also reportedly want to cancel Odsonne Edouard’s loan but have to rely on Crystal Palace recalling the Frenchman.

Edouard has played six times this season for the Foxes, however, due to playing for two clubs already this season, he would be ineligible to represent a third team.
