Paul Merson and Chris Sutton have now offered their predictions for Leicester City’s Premier League clash with Everton this weekend.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men find themselves one point outside the relegation zone heading into this showdown, though they will arrive with confidence, as Leicester beat Tottenham 2-1 last time out.
Van Nistelrooy also confirmed a triple Leicester injury boost ahead of this weekend, with Mads Hermansen back in contention after injury while Wilfred Ndidi is back in light training alongside Ricardo Pereira.
While Hermansen’s return is vital, Jakub Stolarczyk has been excellent for the Foxes and deserves to keep his place in the lineup on merit.
Though, the Leicester manager will be tempted to throw the Danish international straight back in, with two pundits now sharing their predictions for the match.

Paul Merson thinks Leicester will draw against Everton
It’s a massive game at the bottom of the Premier League table. Leicester are in 17th place with Everton just one place and six points ahead.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 16 | 22 | 5 | 8 | 9 | 19 | 28 | -9 | 23 | |
| 17 | 23 | 4 | 5 | 14 | 25 | 49 | -24 | 17 |
Van Nistelrooy’s side can close the gap to just three points with a win but writing in his column for Sportskeeda, Paul Merson thinks the spoils will be shared, predicting a 1-1 draw.
“I do think Leicester can become a bit of a problem for Everton here. They are a dangerous team and always create chances during their games.
“Everton deserve a lot of credit for what they’ve done in recent weeks. To beat Tottenham and then follow it up with a win away from home at Brighton is quite incredible considering how they were a few months ago. But I just think Leicester will show some fight here, especially after that huge win over Spurs.”
Merson predicted Leicester to beat Tottenham 2-1 last time out and looked like a genius when that prediction came true, though he isn’t joined in feeling confident about the Foxes chances.
Chris Sutton predicts Everton to beat Leicester
Leicester have avoided defeat against Everton in five of their last six meetings. Admittedly, four of those games have ended in draws but recent history suggests a tight encounter at Goodison Park.
That being said, Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane have predicted Everton to beat Leicester comfortably on Saturday, and now Chris Sutton has agreed with the Manchester United duo.
“Both of these teams got good wins last week, but it’s hard to know what to make of Leicester beating Tottenham because of the spell Spurs are going through,” Sutton wrote in his BBC Sport column.
“I don’t see that result as meaning the Foxes have turned a corner, but it was massive for them after seven straight league defeats.
“What a player Leicester striker Jamie Vardy is by the way. He seems to be getting quicker, at the age of 38, and is still scoring really important goals for them.
“It was Everton’s victory at Brighton that impressed me the most, though.
“They are still not going to be free-scoring but the centre-back partnership between James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, with Jordan Pickford behind them, has given new boss David Moyes the foundation he wants.
“I am backing them to edge this game too, which would give Moyes a hat-trick of wins and a bit of breathing space over the bottom four.”
Sutton tips Everton to win this fixture 1-0 – a result every Leicester fan will be hoping doesn’t materialise.
