Leicester City stopped the rot on Sunday with a fantastic comeback victory against Tottenham Hotspur to move out of the relegation zone.
It’s been an incredibly testing time for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who watched his side lose seven Premier League games on the bounce before Leicester beat Tottenham 2-1.
Van Nistelrooy was full of praise for Jamie Vardy after the game, as the 38-year-old didn’t just score a crucial goal but his leadership expertise was instrumental.
Vardy was one of many star performers in arguably their most important win of the season. But it wasn’t just the display against Ange Postecoglou’s side that would have left supporters delighted, with an update now emerging on winger Abdul Fatawu.

Abdul Fatawu shares promising footage as Leicester star steps up recovery
Leicester were clinical in the win over Spurs but that hasn’t been the case throughout this season, with the Foxes failing to score in five of their previous seven matches.
One reason for their lack of cutting-edge is the absence of Fatawu, who has been sidelined with an ACL injury since the end of November.
The Ghanian superstar was instrumental down the right flank before this huge setback, amassing two assists in his first 11 top-flight appearances.
Van Nistelrooy has missed the 20-year-old’s presence as a result, with Fatawu expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
That was the initial timeframe handed to the winger but Fatawu has since been spotted making his comeback, working hard in the gym.
Now, the talented youngster has shared a video documenting his progress on Instagram, accompanied by an eight-word message.

“2 months after my surgery. Good progress lately,” Fatawu wrote on his story.
Leicester eyeing temporary Fatawu replacement
Fatawu’s injury sparked concerns among the Leicester faithful about their output in the final third, and those worries have rung true since November.
The Foxes have lacked attacking quality, relying on the brilliance of Bilal El Khannouss or the clinical finishing of Vardy to pull them through the mud.
Unfortunately, before the win at Tottenham, Vardy’s form dropped off a cliff and the Englishman struggled to find the net.
This prompted many to suggest Leicester should sign a new attacking player, someone who can play on the right and fill the void of Fatawu.
Most recently, Leicester have been linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the former Liverpool star who can play as a midfielder or on the flank.
Perhaps he’s someone Van Nistelrooy could land in the closing stages, although he wouldn’t be the most exciting addition.
