It’s hard to imagine where the next win is going to come for Leicester City.

The Foxes are looking to avoid an 11th defeat in 12 Premier League games this Thursday when they make the trip to London to face West Ham United.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is under pressure from supporters as some called for him to be sacked however, following the departure of coaches Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock, it seems that the Dutchman will remain in the post for now.

There have been some suggestions that Leicester could reappoint Martin O’Neill to save their season but it isn’t just Van Nistelrooy that is struggling with the pressure of being a manager, as one former Leicester boss is experiencing.

Paul Merson thinks Enzo Maresca could be sacked by Chelsea

Enzo Maresca is beginning to realise the scale of the job he has on his hands at Chelsea.

After leaving the Foxes for the two-time European champions in the summer, an excellent start to the season has soon unravelled into a dreadful run of form where they are now fighting to keep in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

The form of Cole Palmer, who could’ve joined Leicester in 2023, has dropped off and an injury to striker Nicolas Jackson has left them short of options up top.

Still, that sort of stuff doesn’t wash at Stamford Bridge and the fans, players, and owners expect far better.

Chelsea have two favourable games coming up, including Leicester and Paul Merson believes the Foxes could get him sacked if they secure an unlikely win.

He told Sky Sports: “If they don’t win their next two games, the manager won’t be there. They’re playing against two of the worst teams to play in the Premier League for I don’t know how long in Southampton and Leicester. So, if they don’t win those two games, he will do well to keep his job.”

When do Leicester play Chelsea?

Foxes fans won’t have to wait long for their next reunion with Maresca and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Leicester make the trip to west London on Sunday 8 March to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Their meeting earlier in the season was the final game Steve Cooper managed before being sacked.

Chelsea were 2-1 winners on the day thanks to goals from Jackson and Enzo Fernandez. Jordan Ayew scored a penalty in the 95th minute in what was the Foxes’ first shot on target in the entire game.

Both sides are in dreadful form right now and although they are a world apart in league position, may end up being a closer-fought battle on the pitch.
