Three names who could become the next Leicester City manager

According to Premier League expert Graeme Bailey, Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Moyes and Lee Carsley are all under consideration.

Van Nistelrooy and Moyes have been heavily linked with the vacant role but Carsley, the man Gary Lineker wants Leicester to appoint as a new manager, is also reportedly under consideration.

Bailey told Leicester City News: “Van Nistelrooy is pushing for the job. There are other options out there such as Hamburg, but he is very keen on a Premier League club.

“We can also say that David Moyes remains in the running and is someone we understand that the club’s top brass want to talk to.

“It is also believed that Lee Carsley is someone also respected by Leicester and could be in contention for the role.”

Highly-rated Championship boss not favoured by Leicester City hierarchy

One other name who has been linked is West Bromwich Albion manager, Carlos Corberan.

The Spaniard has been praised for his work with limited resources at The Hawthorns but like Cooper, plays a more conservative brand of football.

Bailey added that there are concerns from the board that it could result into the same similar atmosphere around the ground as fans fail to get on board with his style.

“Corberan has his fans, but given his style of play and the issues Steve Cooper experienced, he might not be the best fit.”

Leicester hope to have a new manager in place by Saturday’s trip to Brentford.
