Leicester City are looking to strengthen their attack in the final weak of the window but one target’s arrival could weaken the threat of Bilal El Khannouss.
Bilal El Khannouss moved to the King Power Stadium from Genk over the summer and has been largely superb for the Foxes since.
El Khannouss shone as Leicester City beat Tottenham Hotspur this past weekend, combining well with Jamie Vardy against the north London outfit.
The 20-year-old now has three goals and four assists in all competitions this term, with it clear he is destined for great things.
El Khannouss has been backed to join Arsenal at some point in his career by a former coach and it’s easy to see why given his current form.
However, the potential addition of one player in the Midlands during the winter transfer window may weaken the impact of the Morocco international.

Leicester City signing Chuba Akpom will weaken Bilal El Khannouss
Reports this week claim that Leicester want to sign Chuba Akpom from Ajax, 18 months after he joined the Dutch outfit in a £12m deal, as per Teesside Live.
Akpom has three league goals this term, with his goalscoring return taking a big dip following his Middlesbrough exit.
The reason for this is largely down to the fact that despite being a natural centre-forward, he has only ever really shone when playing as a second striker.
The 29-year-old scored 28 Championship goals for Boro in 2022/23 – by far and away his best return in one campaign.
However, Michael Carrick did not deploy the Englishman up top, instead using him as a second striker behind Cameron Archer.
Prior to that position change, he was largely woeful on Teesside and has floundered at most clubs when used as a number nine.
In turn, if Leicester were to sign Akpom, Ruud van Nistelrooy would have to start him behind Jamie Vardy to get the best out of him, which would weaken the impact of Bilal El Khannouss, who is at his best in the number 10 role, rather than out wide.

Leicester City owner must shut down move for Chuba Akpom
The Foxes’ recruitment has never been the best, with Leicester fans growing tired of Jon Rudkin this season.
And should it happen, the signing of Akpom would almost certainly have a negative impact on Van Nistelrooy’s side.
As a result, Leicester owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha needs to step up and shut down any potential move for the former Boro ace.
Fans are likely desperate to see more players arrive before deadline day but the Akpom signing would be a waste and certainly isn’t a solution to the lack of cover for Vardy.
