Leicester City look closer than ever to securing their first signing of the transfer window.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has continuously remained coy on transfers this month as he tries to bring in the best players possible to the King Power Stadium.
There appears to be players on the way out too which will no doubt help to free up the Foxes’ wage bill and generate some much-needed funds to help recruit a better calibre of player.
Full-backs, a left winger and a forward seem to the priority on the market, but aside from Woyo Coulibaly, it seems that more are likely to head for the exit door.
With that, here is all the latest Leicester City transfer news and rumours on day 14 of the transfer window.
Leicester City choose Woyo Coulibaly over Kyle-Walker Peters

Woyo Coulibaly is edging closer to joining Leicester as the Foxes prepare to get their first signing over the line.
Coulibaly wasn’t in Parma’s squad for their clash against Genoa on Sunday and looks like he is only a few details away from becoming a Fox.
It’s since emerged that Leicester were also pondering Kyle Walker-Peters but decided not to go for him as they felt his price tag was too high for someone with less than six months of their contract remaining.
There’s hope that Coulibaly will be a Leicester player by the weekend.
Sean Longstaff told to fight for Newcastle future

Another Premier League player being watched by Leicester is Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.
The homegrown star has lost his place in the line-up and is also wanted by Everton.
Eddie Howe has since issued an ultimatum to Longstaff and urged him to fight for his place or be moved on.
Odsonne Edouard wanted by MLS giants

Leicester are doing everything to cancel Odsonne Edouard’s loan deal and send him back to Crystal Palace.
Unfortunately, Palace aren’t too keen on keeping him either but the Foxes could have a saving grace in the form of Atlanta United of the MLS, who allegedly have Edouard on their shortlist of options.
Atlanta would prefer to sign Leicester-linked Emmanuel Latte Lath ahead of him, but there is a glimmer of hope the Frenchman may leave.
Hamza Choudhury expected to complete Sheffield United move

Continuing the theme of outgoings, Hamza Choudhury is expected to complete a move to Sheffield United this wekeend.
Choudhury is out of favour at the Foxes and could join the Blades on loan with a view to a permanent deal in order to get some game time and also free up some wages for Van Nistelrooy.

Wout Faes wanted by European sides

Wout Faes may have impressed against QPR but has still failed to completely win over the fanbase after a number of difficult performances.
Reports in Belgium have claimed that Faes will be allowed to leave if an ‘interesting offer’ comes his way as the Foxes look to balance the books amid their ongoing profit and sustainability fears.
Faes joined for £15m in 2022 but has been inconsistent ever since then and could regenerate some extra cash.
