Ruud van Nistelrooy has been given a chance to shake things up at Leicester City ahead of their meeting at Brentford.
We are now at the point in the season where Friday’s fixture against the Bees has become a must-win clash for both Ruud van Nistelrooy and Leicester City on the whole.
Performances have improved somewhat lately but results are all that really matters and one win in 10 just isn’t good enough for the Dutchman.
His future is yet to be called into question despite some murmurs from fans but he will surely be under a lot more pressure if Leicester face Brentford and don’t come away with, at minimum, a point.
The Foxes, meanwhile, know time is running out for them to kick-start their survival push having slipped down to 19th over the weekend.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must completely axe James Justin for Woyo Coulibably
Ahead of the meeting with Brentford, Van Nistelrooy now has the perfect chance to completely axe one player from his starting eleven.
There are and have been a lot of problems at Leicester this season but one of the most prominent has been the form of James Justin.
Leicester fans slammed Justin versus Brentford in the reverse fixture back in November 2024, which they lost 4-1.
Van Nistelrooy watched that match from the stands but has persisted with the right-back in the majority of games this season.
Leicester fans think Justin is Championship level and it’s hard to argue with him given the countless poor displays he’s put on this term.
Yet, despite signing Woyo Coulibaly from Parma in January, Ruud has continued to play the out-of-form Englishman ahead of him.
That could, and hopefully should change going forward, however, with Justin injured and potentially out for a couple of weeks.
Coulibaly impressed for Leicester against Arsenal when he came on and now he’s expected to start against Brentford, Van Nistelrooy needs to take this chance to make his only signing the Foxes’ new first-choice right-back, even after Justin returns.

James Justin worst crosser in the Premier League
If fans didn’t already think he was poor, it has recently been revealed that Justin is the worst crosser in the Premier League this season.
Using data, a report claimed that of every player to have produced 20 or more crosses in the top flight, Justin is the worse with a grade of 55.0.
This may come some way to explaining why, as well as being awful at the back, the Midlands outfit have struggled for goals at times this term.
