The Leicester owners are having a pretty tough time nailing down a target, however, with several managers already ruled out.
Graham Potter has already turned down the Leicester job and David Moyes is not an option despite being linked.
The Foxes have also turned to the Championship in a bid to find a new coach but that venture has not gone great so far.
Leicester have no chance of signing Michael Carrick from a high-flying Middlesbrough this month.
Elsewhere, Carlos Corberan spoke out on links to the Foxes following West Bromwich Albions’ game on Tuesday evening but was rather coy in his response.
On a slightly more positive note, Leicester have approached Ruud van Nistelrooy, and at present, he is yet to turn down the job.

What Manchester United star Joshua Zirkzee said about Ruud van Nistelrooy
Up until recently, Van Nistelrooy was working as a coach with his former club, Manchester United.
The Dutchman took temporary charge at Old Trafford following Erik ten Hag’s sacking and helped Man Utd beat Leicester City 5-2 in the Carabao Cup before besting the Foxes for a second time in the Premier League.
Before becoming interim manager, Van Nistelrooy was acting as an assistant to Ten Hag following his return over the summer.
During his time at the club, the former striker worked closely with summer addition Joshua Zirkzee, who revealed in September how the ex-number nine was helping him, as per the Manchester Evening News.
He said: “[It’s been] great. He’s been a striker. Detailed work. Watching footage. Looking back. The way he works with you. That’s very important. I can relate to that; You can learn a lot from him.”

Odsonne Edouard would benefit from Ruud van Nistelrooy joining Leicester City
Zirkzee’s comments on how Van Nistelrooy helped him at United should be music to the ears of Odsonee Edouard.
The 26-year-old joined Leicester on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace over the summer but has really struggled in 2024/25 so far.
Cooper needed more from Edouard during his time in charge but the former Celtic ace failed to deliver.

With Leicester’s attacking options limited and a 37-year-old Jamie Vardy the only decent number nine, Edouard really needs to step up if the club are to avoid a relegation scrap.
And the arrival of a goalscoring icon such as Van Nistelrooy would no doubt help the Palace loanee do exactly that.
