There’s not long left of the transfer window to go and Leicester are running out of time.

Ruud van Nistelrooy wants four positions sorted by the time of the Monday 3 February deadline and so far, that’s not gone to plan.

Woyo Coulibaly is the only signing so far and the Foxes need to get a move on if they are to achieve their goal.

That doesn’t mean to say there’s links all over the world connecting Leicester to incomings and outgoings so, with that, here is a roundup of the latest Leicester transfer news.

A centre-back is one of the four positions that Van Nistelrooy wants to improve this month and none fit the bill more than Strahinja Pavlovic.

Leicester were linked with the ‘aggressive’ defender after he had fallen out of favour at AC Milan, despite joining in the summer.

Milan have since changed managers and Pavlovic played in the 3-2 win against Parma on Sunday before admitting that he would prefer to remain at the San Siro.

It’s a deal that has been long in the making but finally looks like it will happen as Hamza Choudhury prepares to join Sheffield United.

Van Nistelrooy confirmed Choudhury would leave Leicester on Sunday and after weeks of talks a loan deal with an option to buy has been confirmed.

Choudhury had his medical in Yorkshire on Monday and will link up with former Fox Tom Cannon after his move to Sheffield United.

Leicester want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

As proven by the unlikely hero Bobby De Cordova-Reid, you sometimes need Premier League experience when fighting at the bottom of the table.

It seems that the Foxes’ transfer targets are a blend of both and in the latest report, there are claims that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could come in.

Oxlade-Chamberlain left England to join Besiktas in 2023 but has found gametime limited and is said to be keen on a move back to his home country.

Luke Thomas could move to the Bundesliga

Bringing players in is the priority this winter but if there’s a chance to get deadwood off the books, Leicester won’t ignore it.

Luke Thomas hasn’t played since impressing against Aston Villa and clearly isn’t in the plans going forward.

Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim made an offer for Thomas, but Leicester turned it down, claiming that it wasn’t close to their asking price.

Thomas’ departure wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone and should be something to watch out for.
